Kieron Brady - Former footballer at Sunderland AFC and ireland, Alcoholism Consultant, and Public Speaker
Kieron Brady is a former professional footballer whose golden career was cut short at just 21. What followed was a struggle with alcoholism that took him to great depths. Since finding sobriety on 13 June 2009, Kieron has dedicated his life to recovery and to supporting others who face the same illness.
Sober for over 16 years, he now specialises in raising awareness of alcoholism, speaking openly about its progressive nature, and aiding the recovery of those similarly afflicted. Having endured the pains of addiction and embraced the fruits of recovery, Kieron is uniquely placed to offer insight into an illness that affects millions, both nationally and internationally. Over the last decade, he has assisted countless people on their recovery journeys in Sunderland and beyond.
Highlights of Kieron’s work focusing on alcoholism & recovery include:
Delivering keynote talks at national mental health conferences including MIND and Samaritans
