There’s a high chance you are feeling overloaded on a continuous basis these days. There is a lot we can not control which can be scary, but there are few things we can: Taking deep breaths, being present in the moment, flowing with uncertainty, being kind and compassionate to ourselves and others, snuggling your pets, and nurturing your children. When your brain is spinning and your heart is hurting, we would like to present these activities and ideas, that will help bring you back to the present moment, and inject a dose of calm and relief into those trying times.

Explore and see what you can find in your garden, doorstep or park that you could make into a mandala. The therapeutic nature of making mandalas is wonderful, and is also a chance to teach your little ones that things change, seasons change, and difficult times will come and go.

Breathing Ball Mindfulness Activity

Breathing Ball

The breathing ball is an excellent toy to help introduce mindful breathing to your children. They love the shape and colours and how it expands and contracts to help them with their inhales and exhales. You can easily buy breathing balls online at Amazon. Just be careful if you have several children, they will all want to use the breathing ball if you only have one! It’s a great time to practice “patience” if so.
