Sparkle Light & Autumn Nights
This week's free activities from the HERE library.
Theme: Moonlight, stillness and soft glowing light
This week is about moonlight, stillness and soft glowing light, just like the evening sky.
As the evenings draw in, this gentle collection of mindful activities invites children, teens and families to slow down and enjoy the glow of the season. Take your lead from the moon: shine softly, rest when it's time, and trust that even a small light is enough.
Inside, you'll find simple settling practices, a visualisation, a mindful reminder and a calming affirmation to help support big feelings and quiet evening moments alike.
We hope you find meaningful support and are so glad you're HERE 💚

This week's pack: Sparkle Light & Autumn Nights

Activity pack · Children, teens and families
Breathe in the soft glow of autumn evenings and the sparkle of stars. This pack invites little hearts to pause and shine with star breathing, a light hunt walk, autumn leaf lanterns, a star leaf garland and a My Sparkle Star page to decorate. There's a soft evening light routine for bedtime, a Fire Within smoothie for mornings, and a reflection for grown-ups on what their own light is.
Calm, connection and a little seasonal magic, in every gentle moment.
Mindfulness
Goodnight Moon

Movement and visualisation · 5 min · Infants and toddlers, kids, families
A gentle side stretch to share before bed, on the carpet, a mat or side by side. Reach up like a little moon rising into the sky, bend to one side to reach a star, then the other. Afterwards, head to the window together, find the moon and whisper it goodnight.
A simple way to help connection and calm, and a restful night's sleep.
Mindfulness
I am Courageous

Affirmation · 2 min · Children and teens
A calming affirmation for big feelings, for children and teens and the educators and providers who support them. Breathe in strength and courage, feel it grow in your heart, and know that you are steady, brave and safe.
Say it aloud, or read it quietly before a moment that feels hard.
Mindfulness
Soft Evening Light

Mindful reminder · 2 min · For you and your family
Dimming the lights after dark, or using candlelight, can make a real difference to mood and sleep. Bright evening light suppresses melatonin, the hormone that tells your body it's time to rest. Lower the lights, let your body and mind wind down, and if you have little ones at home, make it fun with a story around the "campfire" candles.
One small change to try tonight.
Shine softly, rest when it's time, and trust that even a small light is enough. See you on Friday.

How do I do the Goodnight Moon activity?
Invite your child to lie on their back and stretch their arms above their head, palms together. Imagine being a little moon rising into the sky, bend to one side to reach a star, then the other. Then find the moon from the window and whisper it goodnight. It takes about five minutes.
What is the I am Courageous affirmation?
A two minute affirmation for children and teens: "I am courageous. I breathe in strength and courage. I feel it grow in my heart. I am steady, brave and safe."
Why does dimming the lights in the evening help sleep?

Who are these activities for?
Goodnight Moon is for infants and toddlers, kids and families. I am Courageous is for children and teens. Soft Evening Light is for adults and families. The pack has pages for all of them.
